Unsolicited Messages, E-mails and Calls End: Commercial Electronic Message Management System (CMS)

The Ministry of Commerce has created a Commercial Electronic Message Management System (CMS) to ensure that unapproved commercial electronic messages reach consumers and prevent spam. The system in question aims for consumers to view all commercial electronic message confirmations on a single screen. It has been announced that it is available as of today. It concerns all consumers living in Turkey. It is a very good service for your processes such as blocking spam and unwanted incoming calls.

During the day, many campaigns, discounts, promotions, advertisements, etc. We receive spam, e-mail, and voice calls that contain spam. If the service providers and brands we allow are too many, this density can become uncomfortable. Fortunately, spam blocking can now be done via e-Government.

How to Use Commercial Electronic Message Management System (CMS)?

The system is easy to use. You can access the related service by logging in via e-Government. By defining your phone number and e-mail address separately, you can see the businesses you have approved for voice calls and text messages. You can block existing permissions directly on the system.

In addition, you can give approval for the service provider and brand you want on the Message Management System site, and use your right to refuse for what you do not want. You can click for your spam blocking process. In addition, thanks to the İYS, it will be possible to quickly resolve the complaints of consumers regarding commercial electronic message approvals. Very soon, the Message Management System will be accessed via the Message Management System Mobile.

Until When Can Commercial Electronic Message Approvals Be Changed?

The Ministry had given permission to more than 150 thousand approved service providers to upload their data to the IYS until 31 December 2020. Consumers, on the other hand, will be able to make their approval/rejection processes from today until February 16, 2021. During this time, you need to update your approval preferences.

Service providers will again be given until May 31, 2021. Consumers will also be able to check their current approvals on June 1, 2021 – July 16, 2021. If you do not use your right to refuse within the specified periods, the data transmitted to the IYS by the service providers will be deemed approved.

These dates are for checking existing approvals. After these dates, you can change your preferences via IMS at any time. There is no time limit for subsequent changes.
